Lukas LK-7900 ARA Review – This cam was released in early 2014, it is the successor to Lukas LK-7900 ACE dashboard camera with a few additional features.
The camera comes in two versions which have been launched, B type and D type. The B type has no OBD-II adapter and comes with an internal GPS, the D type has an OBD-II adapter and comes with an external GPS. The dashboard camera records in Full HD 1080p resolution with it’s Sony Exmor CMOS 2.4M sensor which produces a sharp 30fps video.

Survives extreme weather conditions
Ordinary dashboard cameras stop working in the 40-50˚C range. This dashboard camera uses super capacitors instead of traditional batteries which allow it to operate in an extreme temperature range of -20˚C to 80˚C.
Supports OBD-II interface
The camera can connect to your car’s OBD-II interface which allows you to record important data such as steering wheel position, accelerator and brake status etc. However, you should ensure that your car is compatible with OBD-II interface.
The camera support 4 recording types: continuous recording, motion detection recording, event recording and emergency recording. These mode allows the camera to record important moments and protect it while you can’t. It also supports SD cards of up to 256GB of storage which is higher than most dashboard cameras, 256GB allows it to record about 60 hours of high-quality video. It also supports loop recording in case the SD card gets full.
